
Philip Sharp
Philip has over 20 years experience working in the haircare industry and is even a past President of the Hair & Beauty Charity. He first fell in love with the Salon Professional industry when he started his first role in haircare as a Buyer for Superdrug, negotiating commercial deals with some of the industry's greatest designer haircare brands such as John Frieda, Nicky Clarke and Trevor Sorbie plus major global manufacturers such as L'Oreal, Unilever and Procter & Gamble. After attending the British Hairdressing Awards for the first time in his early 20s Philip knew then that he wanted a closer connection to this wonderful creative industry.

Over the years Philip has worked for some of the leading names in the industry including Kao Brands, Wella, Umberto Giannini, Great Lengths, ASP Luxury Haircare and the Kevin Murphy Group on countless creative and commercial projects.

Managing Director Great Lengths UK
During Philip's time at Great Lengths UK as the MD, Philip led an operational transformation following an international strategic review of the brand which ultimately resulted in the recruitment of a new external national sales division. In addition, and in partnership with the marketing team Philip evolved the brand proposition, hosted the first ever Great Lengths Awards at the Mayfair Hotel and enabled the business to reach the finals in the National Business Awards. Doubling the size of the organisation during his leadership.

Brand Director ASP Luxury Haircare (20 Year Brand Anniversary)
2 years in the making this project was a beast! The owner wanted to celebrate this occasion with something momentous for the brand. The result, an action packed weekend Festival of music, hairdressing education masterclasses (Andrew Barton, Desmond Murray, Tracey Devine Smith) and entertainment in Central London at the Leonardo Hotel Royal by St Paul's Cathedral.
My role was to lead, manage and execute with excellence, managing all of the team, suppliers and guest artists, to bring this spectacular event to life.
In attendance were distributors and salon partners from all corners of the globe and the video on the right gives you a glimpse as to the outstanding success of the event and was regarded as the best ever event in the company's history by the owner and the ASP team.

ASP BRAND DIRECTOR (TOP HAIR GERMANY)
To support the market entry into Germany Philip was given the brief to exhibit at Top Hair and work with Global Brand Ambassador Tracey Devine Smith on co-ordinating a hair show for Die Messe's main stage. Philip worked cross functionally with all departments, design, education, marketing and international sales as well as all suppliers to project manage their best ever international market brand activation. President Hair & Beauty Charity 2019
Following several years on the charity committee one of Philip's career highlights was when he was voted in to become the Joint President of the Hair & Beauty Charity (Previously The Hairdresser's Charity) alongside Samantha Grocutt from Essence PR. During that time Philip co-hosted two annual charity balls and helped to champion the charity throughout his tenure through new sponsorships and charity events in partnership with a dedicated committee providing a financial lifeline to hairdressers and beauticians facing financial difficulties.
